Jazz clubs in Philadelphia are bringing the races together. The renewed popularity of the music is creating jobs for the musicians, who still do not earn a great deal of money. A list of jazz clubs in town and in the suburbs is given, and several clubs are described.

The business of the homeless

Rubin fears that the business-generating potential of Philadelphia's new Convention Center may be lost because of the image problem presented by the city's homelessness problem. He hopes that the business community will help the city develop a solution.
