Vietnam-China relations since the end of the Cold War
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the nature of relations between China and Vietnam from the time of normalization to the present. Two analytical approaches were utilized to carry out the analysis and examine unresolved concerns between the nations. Results indicated the existence of a political will to promote solutions to differences between Vietnam and China over land border and Tonkin Gulf concerns. Findings also suggested that the countries will not engage in a military fight over their disputes in the near future.
