Why is ASEAN diplomacy changing: from "non-interference" to "open and frank discussions"
Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to identify as to why Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) diplomacy is changing from the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other states to open and frank discussion of issues of common concern. The plausibility of a conventional explanation in line with a rationalist perspective in international relations is considered and by also taking a constructivist perspective, the study attempts to offer an alternative account.

Rethinking North Korea
Article Abstract:
North Korea's foreign policy cannot be explained without considering the basic tenets of neorealism. Misconstrued and thought to defy conventional wisdom, North Korea's foreign policy depicts North Koreans as reckless and impulsive decision-makers. Contrary to popular belief, however, North Korea is unlikely to wage another war against South Korea. Its nuclear capability is more of a political than a military shield against foreign pressure.

ASEAN counterterrorism cooperation since 9/11
