A decisive week with no clear outcome

Article Abstract:

Recent developments in international involvement in the civil war in Bosnia can be seen as a turning point, but it is not yet clear whether the outcome will be positive or negative. Observers still point out that the international approach to the issue is very uncoordinated, and this can be exploited by all the warring factions in the Balkans. The most significant recent event has been the taking of hostages by the Bosnian Serbs, indicating the vulnerability of international forces.

Serbia is only likely to respond if the Krajina Serbs are subjected to a long period of attack from the Croats.
