A little bit of monkey business

It can be hard to portray Buddhism on stage, according to playwright Colin Teevan, who has adapted 'Monkey,' a 16th-century novel telling the adventures of a 7th-century monk. He indicates that the production seeks to manipulate the concept of emptiness and fullness by demonstrating how theatre is formed out of nothing.
