Andre Dewavrin
Article Abstract:
Soldier and resistance fighter Andre Dewavrin studied at the Ecole Polytechnique and subsequently lectured on fortifications at the military college of Saint Cyr. He made contact with General de Gaulle in 1940, and was appointed one of de Gaulle's staff officers. He set up the Bureau Central de Renseignements et d'Action, and became involved in combat when the Liberation of France began. He parachuted to Brittany, France, in Aug 1944 and took many German prisoners. He developed a number of business interests after the second world war.

Gaston de Bonneval
Article Abstract:
Soldier Gaston de Bonneval joined the Resistance after the Armistice. He was captured by the Germans and sent to a concentration camp, from where he was liberated by the Americans in May 1945. He was with General Charles de Gaulle from Oct 1945 until Dec 1964. When de Gaulle founded the Rally of the French people, Bonneval had to spend much of his time with journalists. He retired in 1965 and devoted most of his attention to raising enough money to keep his large family. He had some success in local politics.

Col Daniel Divry
Article Abstract:
Soldier and businessman Daniel Divry was born in Saint Quentin, France, in 1912. He studied at Sciences-Politiques before beginning a career in law. He joined the Free French during the second world war, becoming second in command of the 501st regiment of tanks.
