Art in their blood
Article Abstract:
LWT's 'South Bank Show' usually deals with neutral subjects, but has attracted controversy with a programme entitled 'Body Art,' which looks at extreme visceral performance art. This programme was originally scheduled to be transmitted on Aug 17, 1997, but LWT executives became nervous about its content. It is now to be shown on Apr 5, 1998. It explores the work of contemporary artists who use their own blood-stained flesh as a living canvas.
