Automotives: diyers flex muscles in aftermarket

Article Abstract:

Hardware wholesalers who have recently added automotive supplies to their product line feel they made the right decision as sales are strong in this area at hardware stores. More people are becoming do-it-yourselfers on their cars, with nearly 35% of maintenance and repairs on cars performed by this market segment. Another trend pushing up sales is that people are keeping the cars longer and those cars on the road are, on the average, slightly older than in the past.
