Bernarr Rainbow

Article Abstract:

Music educationist Bernarr Rainbow became organist and choirmaster at St James's, Merton, England, while still at school. He studied with Dr William Lovelock at Trinity College of Music between 1933 and 1939. After serving in the second world war, he was appointed Organist and Choirmaster at High Wycombe Parish Church and Senior Music Master at the Royal Grammar School. He developed a career as a historiographer of music education following his appointment as Director of Music at the College of St Mark and St John in Chelsea, England.

Daughter-in-law of Winston Churchill Mrs Pamela Digby Churchill Hayward Harriman personally lobbied to set up the Democrats for the 80's. Her glamorous society life helped her raise money. She grew up in the rural aristocracy on the 1,500-acre Minterne estate in Dorset. She married Randolph Churchill but she had many affairs with famous people. She met Averell Harriman when he was 50 and she was 21. They married 30 years later when both had been widowed. He was an elder statesman.

Dame Ruth Railton

Article Abstract:

Music teacher and conductor Ruth Railton was born in Folkestone, England, in 1915. She studied piano at the Royal Academy of Music and later specialized in conducting school choirs.
