Guitarist Bert Weedon is very aware that his book 'Play in a Day' exerted great influence over a considerable number of people who went on to have a career in rock music. He began learning to play the guitar at the age of 12, and went on to develop a repertoire covering dance, flamenco, classical and jazz music. He worked with extremely well known musicians in the 1950s, and became the UK's first rock guitar hero. He was backing guitarist for many famous rock stars, including Cliff Richard, Marty Wilde and Tommy Steele.

It was very difficult to come to terms with the suicide of Kurt Cobain, according to former Nirvana bass player Krist Novoselic. For some time after Cobain's death, he focused on becoming more politically active and overcoming his alcohol addiction. He is now returning to the music scene with Sweet 75, a trio which has a very wide-ranging musical style. The band has been focusing on writing and playing live, and will play its first gigs in the UK in Oct 1997.
