Biker hitmen strike fear into Lebanon
Article Abstract:
Lebanese people in Sidon, Lebanon, are becoming increasingly anxious about unprovoked attacks, with policemen having been openly killed by motorcycle riders in the streets. Israel is being blamed by the Lebanese government for the attacks, but the Lebanese civilians are unconvinced. Many thousands of Palestinians live in the Ein el-Helwe refugee camp near Sidon, which is mainly a Sunni Muslim city. Sidon has experienced relative peace since the end of the civil war in 1990.

Qana's horrors laid bare in a journey to hell
Article Abstract:
The recent Israeli shelling of the UN base at Qana, Lebanon, left many people dead. Many of those who survived have very serious injuries, and will remain affected for the rest of their lives. Israel claims that the attack was an accident, but the Lebanese believe that Israel deliberately targetted civilians. A visit to the local hospital where the victims are being cared for reveals the depth of the human tragedy which this attacked has caused.
