Blur: what's the story?

Article Abstract:

The pop group Blur was a pioneer of the Britpop genre and became extremely popular. Indeed, its third album, 'Parklife,' sold more than 1 million copies in the UK. The group managed to combine a stimulating approach with commercial viability, and its founder, Damon Albarn, became a cult figure. However, Blur began to experience competition from Oasis, and fell into the trap of becoming stereotyped. Its decline in popularity took place very rapidly during the course of 1995, and it is being much more cautious in attempts to make a come-back.

Diana: the story of the story

Article Abstract:

Journalists reacted very quickly to the news that Diana, Princess of Wales, had been involved in a car crash on Aug 30, 1997. They were aware that they would have to find out exactly what had happened very rapidly if they were to be able to include the report in the newspapers for the following day, which were on the point of being printed. The BBC decided to broadcast its 24-hour World channel on both BBC1 and BBC2 throughout the night, but it was some time before journalists were able to rely on official statements.

Impotence: the woman's story

Article Abstract:

The fact that impotence can have a significant impact on women is often overlooked. A woman can feel hurt and rejected if her partner loses all interest in physical intimacy with her, and may feel that nobody is taking account of her views. In many cases, women's efforts to help their partner overcome impotence are mocked or ignored. Health professionals are now beginning to acknowledge that treating impotence must involve addressing women's anxieties as well as those of men.
