Can't stop now

Article Abstract:

Filmmaker Woody Allen has received considerable negative publicity recently following his efforts to improve access arrangements to his two children from his relationship with actress Mia Farrow, from whom he split bitterly in 1992. The judge ruled that the very strict arrangements would not be amended, and criticised Allen for having little understanding of the emotional state of his children. He has also caused a scandal by forming a relationship with Soon-Yi Previn, Farrow's adopted daughter with Andre Previn, to whom she was previously married.

Tourists trek into a financial wilderness

Article Abstract:

Tourists visiting US national parks will see that they are virtually penniless, as there are not as many rangers, attractions including trails and campsites are closed, and the roads are in disrepair. The parks do not charge enough and government funding has been cut by 17% since 1993. Yellowstone Park, whose charge for a car and passengers for a week has remained at 10 dollars since 1916, is the most controversial of all, having shut down its Norris Geyser campsite and museum, which will have an impact on tourism in the area.

I take on JFK and what thanks do I get?

Article Abstract:

Investigative journalist Seymour Hersh has attracted considerable criticism for 'The Dark Side of Camelot,' a biography of John F. Kennedy. It was inevitable that he would encounter some opposition to his work, as Kennedy is one of the most greatly admired US presidents. However, almost nobody has spoken out in favour of this book. Criticism of the credibility of his sources has been particularly embarrassing for somebody who had gained a strong reputation for his investigative work.
