Cardinal Agostino Casaroli
Article Abstract:
Priest and diplomat Agostino Casaroli undertook seminary studies in Bedonia, Italy, and Piacenza, Italy, and in 1936 enrolled in the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy in Rome, Italy. He was ordained priest in May 1937, and entered the Vatican's Secretariat of State in 1940. He became archbishop in 1967 and cardinal in 1979. He was Secretary of the Council for the Public Affairs of the Catholic Church between 1967 and 1979 and Secretary of State to Pope John Paul II between 1979 and 1990.

Cardinal Silvio Oddi
Article Abstract:
Priest Silvio Oddi was born in Morfasso, Italy, in 1910. He entered the diocesan junior seminary in 1921 and was ordained in 1933. He was consecrated titular Archbishop of Mesembria in 1953.
