Chilled soup
Article Abstract:
The UK chilled soup market has experienced remarkable growth for five years since 1994 because of consumer perceptions of freshness, quality and health benefits. For the years 1994-1997, growth averaged over 25% with a slight slowdown in 1998. The soup sector is expected to maintain its growth patterns for the next few years. This will be fueled by the demand for convenience, less formal eating patterns and more women in the working place.
