Chocolate, batteries, drysuits: sponsors try to put a price on adventure
Article Abstract:
Yachtsman Tony Bullimore, who recently survived four days stranded in freezing waters 1,400 miles south of Australia, is now in strong demand for product endorsement deals and to sell his story. Companies producing goods which are believed to have kept him alive during his ordeal are particularly keen to exploit this marketing opportunity. Bullimore has a reputation for being an astute businessman, but has so far not signed any exclusive agreements. Indeed, he has already told much of his story for nothing.
