Don't forget your toothbrush

Article Abstract:

Travellers should be careful about what they pack, ensuring that they take as little as possible for their comfort. The most flexible item of luggage is a convertible rucksack, which is light, and easy to store and carry, costing from 84.99 pounds sterling. Conventional suitcases should have a strong handle and wheels. A padlock is useful for securing luggage to racks on trains and keeping hotel doors shut. Items to pack might include a travel towel, insect repellent, a mosquito net, a mug, a mini immersion heater and a penknife.

What's in a name? Try 135 pounds sterling

Article Abstract:

Many famous fashion designers are now selling jeans in the UK, and it is estimated that designer jeans account for around 10 million of the 60 million pairs of jeans which are currently being worn. There tend to be different types of customers for different types of designer jeans, but all customers are willing to pay a great deal of money. Many designer clothes can date very quickly, but this is not the case with jeans, which can be worn for many seasons.

Move over, Calvin

Article Abstract:

Fashion designer Helmut Lang's decision to hold his show for the forthcoming season before New York Fashion Week, which will take place in Nov 1998, represents a significant departure from the traditional cycle of fashion shows. He feels that holding his show earlier will give him longer to sell his collection and produce the clothes. His decision has been emulated by Calvin Klein and Donna Karan, who have staged a mini fashion week.
