Equitable old guard stands by its record

The 12 Equitable Life directors who resigned in Dec 2000 have remained mainly silent since that time. However, Peter Martin has now made the first attempt to defend their record. He claims that they showed honesty and responsibility in managing Equitable at a difficult time, and that they feel hurt by the public attacks made on them since they resigned.
