Go on Tony, make my day

Article Abstract:

Labour party leader Tony Blair seems to be taking a very serious approach to politics. His policies are sensible, but give the impression that a future Labour government would be very similar to the existing Conservative one. It is now time for him to consider some more frivolous policies which may win him popular support. These could include allowing the general public to see the many paintings and sculptures in the national art collections which are currently kept hidden away and replanting forests.

For Tony Blair, the real enemy is within the walls of Cabinet

Article Abstract:

The issue of possible cuts in benefits for disabled people has served to create severe splits among UK government ministers. Indeed, it is possible that welfare reforms can be undertaken without betraying the traditions of the Labour party. Blair has already become aware that ministers represent one of the very few pressures on him.
