Flexible financial arrangements are becoming increasingly necessary as family life loses its traditional fixed patterns. It is important to have arrangements which allow present financial commitments to be met and provision to be made for future requirements. Inheritance tax can be a particular financial problem for looser family structures, and it is important to ensure that a large part of the value of an estate is not lost in tax.
