Haven't I been here before?

Article Abstract:

Tunisia has been very popular with filmmakers for many years, and has been used as a location in films including 'The English Patient,' 'Kundun' and 'Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom.' The popular holiday resort of Monastir has been used for a number of religious epics. Filmmakers are attracted to Tunisia because it is relatively small, thus making travel easy, and because it offers such a wide range of scenery. Tunisian technicians are highly skilled, but their daily rate is not as high as that of their European and American counterparts.

Out among the headless chickens

Article Abstract:

Visitors to Tunisia must come to terms with the fact that the Arab world has values to which they must adapt, such as live animals being examined at the butcher's shop before they are slaughtered for the customer. In some mainstream tourist resorts, the visitor can enjoy luxury restaurants and Frency elegance, but this is artificial and far removed from the 'real' Tunisia. The Tunisian people have a great nobility of spirit which is worth seeking out.
