Article Abstract:

Radio station Heart 106.2 FM is already broadcasting in London and Birmingham, England, and is now looking to gain the North-west and North-east licences, which will be made available in Aug 1997 and Jan 1998 respectively. It has been particularly successful with its breakfast show, which won the 1997 Sony award for Best Breakfast Show. This show is designed to appeal to women aged between 25 and 44, and is based around adult contemporary music.

Article Abstract:

Flesh is a gay night at the Hacienda night club in Manchester, England which has 1,200 visitors a month. It is run by public relations company A Bit Ginger. Local council and police support it. It is open to gay men, lesbians and heterosexuals. So many heterosexuals wanted to go as it is the best club in town, that positive discrimination had to be introduced. People would claim to be homosexual to get in.
