Henry Vestine

Article Abstract:

Guitarist Henry Vestine initially played with the Beans, but in 1966 joined Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention. He left this group after the 'Freak Out!' album, and linked with Alan Wilson and Bob Hite in a group called Canned Heat. This group was particularly successful in 1969, but Vestine left in the same year after clashing with bass player Larry Taylor. He returned in 1970, and the group continued to enjoy success with a range of line-ups right up until his death.
