How to give a woman what she wants (450,000 times over)
Article Abstract:
Women's magazine Marie Claire was slow to take off after its launch in autumn 1988. However, it became popular in the early 1990s, and now has a circulation of 450,000. Its editor, Glenda Bailey, is now to move to the US to revive the American version of the magazine, and will be replaced by Juliet Warkentin, a Canadian who has for the last three years being editing trade magazine Draper's Record. She is strongly committed to magazines, and has gained a reputation for an ability to motivate her staff.

Thank you, but I won't
Article Abstract:
Sexual activity seems to have become a key element of modern life, with magazines openly discussing it and first sexual experiences now taking place in the early teenage years for many people. However, some celebrities, especially those who are unwilling to disclose their sexual orientation, are emphasising the benefits of celibacy, and there is a strong move in the US to encourage young people to remain virgins before marriage. This trend is being seen in a weaker form in the UK too.
