There are many very interesting facets to the forthcoming general election in the UK, according to leading CNN international correspondent Christiane Amanpour. She is the most recognized reporter in the world, and this often gives her privileged access to world leaders. She will be reporting from the UK on the night of the general election, looking particularly at developments in support for the Labour party. She is very concerned about how the election result will affect foreign policy.

Not easily scarred

Article Abstract:

The victim of a violent attack should be determined not to accept any shame or blame for what happened, according to Merlyn Nuttall, who was violently attacked, sexually assaulted and left for dead in Feb 1992. She has now written a book about the attack and how she recovered from it. She felt very grateful to have survived her ordeal, and this is what fuelled her recovery. Indeed, the attack actually had a worse long-term effect on her friends and family.
