Intelligence secrets behind new success against IRA
Article Abstract:
UK police officers have recently undertaken their second successful raid against the IRA in just over two months. In the second raid, five suspects were capture, one was killed and up to 10 tonnes of explosives were seized. The successes seem to correspond with the appointment of Commander John Grieve as head of Scotland Yard's Anti-Terrorist Branch. He has a strong reputation for taking an unconventional approach, and has been able to use his experience in intelligence-gathering.

Drug dealers flood cities with 'jellies.' (black market in sleeping tablet drug temazepam)
Article Abstract:
Drug dealers in many UK cities have created a thriving black market in the sleeping tablet drug temazepam. The drug is known to have been the cause of a considerable number of deaths. There is a particularly lively trade in prescription-only drugs in Scottish cities such as Edinburgh and Glasgow and in north-west and north-east England. These drugs can be obtained very cheaply from a wholesale pharmaceutical company, and are then sold at a mark-up of more than 1,000%.
