Is organic food safe?
Article Abstract:
Many people regard organic food as being better for their health and for the environment than food treated with pesticides. In fact, research indicates that there are no differences between organic food and other food in terms of all the main constituents, vitamins and minerals. There are still pesticide residues in organic food, and is some countries it is acceptable for organic farmers to use antibiotics such as streptomycin if they are derived from fermentation. Organic farmers use cow or pig manure when this is available, but it can be infected with the dangerous bacterium E coli 0157 disease organism.

Gimme gimme gimme
Article Abstract:
It is unlikely that any more building societies in the UK will make windfall payments to members, but there may still be some potential to receive windfalls from mutual life insurance companies. Windfall payments may also come from a wide range of other sources. These include the older colleges at Oxford and Cambridge universities, the large agricultural co-operatives, local tennis, golf or cricket clubs and trade unions.
