Is the party over for Maggie's kids?
Article Abstract:
The decision to cancel the annual conference of the Young Conservatives reflects growing problems within this movement. It has been a source of embarrassment to the mainstream Conservative party for some years, particularly as its members tend to express very extreme views. This contrasts with the situation in the 1950s, when it was the largest political youth movement in the democratic world. It now has fewer than 10,000 members, reflecting the fact that there are now many more social opportunities for young people.

And the walls came crumbling down
Article Abstract:
Seismic soundings undertaken by Simon Horizon on behalf of Enterprise Oil have severely damaged an old farm building situated in Lancashire moor country. Professional research has confirmed what has happened, but the owners of the farm building have still not received any compensation from Enterprise Oil. They have invested extensively in repair work and legal services, but no date has yet been set when a judgement will be made.
