It looks as though they're here to stay
Article Abstract:
Dr Gisela Oechelhaeuser is artistic chief of Berlin, east Germany's, political cabaret theatre Die Distel. She has a doctorate in philosophy from Leipzig University. She is sharp-witted and energetic. On six days a week she takes intensive English lessons, rehearses and rewrites and gives a performance in the evening. She wishes to give the audience the opportunity to broaden their vision. Before 1989 plays had to go before the censorship committee, so codes were used. Oechelhaeuser thinks political cabaret is still relevant as she does not believe in 'disowning the past.'

She's so down-to-earth ... it's spooky
Article Abstract:
Medium and spiritual healer Mrs Betty Shine has written a successful trilogy on the mind: 'Mind to Mind,' 'Mind Magic' and 'Mind Waves.' Former opera singer Mrs Shine wrote her books on the instructions of spiritual messages, to inform people that death does not exist, so that they can live more positively, and to make people aware of spiritual healing. She is held responsible for the improved condition of a child with encephalitis. A senior London psychiatrist confirms that she is sane.

Headbanging hard to a Nazi beat
Article Abstract:
National Front breakaway group Blood and Honour (BH) is a neo-Nazi skinhead organisation spreading through Europe and the US with 30,000 members. BH advocates 'white pride' in the right-wing lyrics of its heavy metal music, which in itself attracts many supporters. The organisation feels it is fighting for the future of Aryan Caucasians. Gigs have a swastika, a Union Flag or the three sevens of South Africa's Afrikaner Resistance Movement as backdrop.
