Gurkhas trapped in village of hate
Article Abstract:
Ethnic divisions between Serbs and Albanians run deep in Robovce, Kosovo, Yugoslavia. There are separate parts of schools for Serbian and Albanian children. Gurkha soldiers are seeking to keep the peace between the two sides. The leaders refuse to speak to each other, which makes the Gurkhas' job more difficult. The United Nations is aiming for Kosovo to be multi-ethnic, but this sometimes appears optimistic, though it may be possible over the longer term.

Post-traumatic press syndrome
Article Abstract:
Most of the journalists who reported on events in Kosovo, Yugoslavia, have been emotionally affected by their experiences. Many had already had experience of reporting on wars, but they found Kosovo particularly upsetting. The conflict became quite personal for many journalists, who sought to trace friends they had already made in Kosovo or who attempted to reunite families. Journalists also had to live with constant reminders of their own vulnerability.
