Kenwood has recipe for growth
Article Abstract:
Kenwood shares will be publicly quoted on Jul 1 1992; the estimated stock market value is 100 million pounds sterling. Kenwood's profits have doubled since a buyout by Candover in 1989, partly because of a majority of overseas sales and through specialising in design. Its main product is the Kenwood Chef, a domestic mixer, of which 200,000 are sold a year, supplying about 1/3 of revenues. The managing director, Tim Parker, 36, experienced in business management abroad, uses project teams to produce new gadgets.
