Lloyd's Names may sue for 8bn pounds sterling compensation

Article Abstract:

The European Union is reviewing evidence from a group of Names at Lloyd's of London that the UK Dept of Trade and Industry did not properly monitor Lloyd's during the 1980s, when large amounts of business were being written. If the European Union finds in favour of the Names, it will present the case to the European Court of Justice.
