Lt-Col Michael Skinner

Article Abstract:

Cavalry officer Michael Skinner was born in India. He was initially educated in the UK, but completed his education in Mussorie, India. He was commissioned into Skinner's Horse in 1942, and subsequently served in Italy. He was assigned to the North West Frontier at the end of the second world war, and in Jul 1960 took command of Skinner's Horse for three years. He left the army in 1966 and began farming ancestral lands at Hansi, India. He became an honorary brigadier in the 1990s.

Actor Ashok Kumar was born in Bhagalpur, India, in 1911. He studied science at Robertson college in Jabalpur, India, and then studied law in Calcutta, India. He made his debut in 1934 with a small role in 'The Breeze of Youth.'

Article Abstract:

Soldier Inderjit Gill was born in Madras, India, in 1919. He joined the Royal Engineers in 1942 and spent the rest of the second world war in undercover activities in the Mediterranean sector.
