Magnet of London draws in thousands of migrant workers

Article Abstract:

London, England, which now has the strongest job market in Europe, is attracting many economic migrants. Some are young people looking for entry-level employment, while others are older, more experienced workers attracted by the career opportunities offered by London's economy. Foreigners are particularly attracted to the UK job market because of its flexibility. UK employers tend to be more willing than their continental European counterparts to train people who have few formal qualifications, and place strong emphasis on attitude. However, foreigners still represent only a small proportion of the overall workforce.
