Many navy suits make light work
Article Abstract:
Networks for professional women have developed rapidly in the last ten years. These networks provide experience sharing events, social events and even training for women in business, and there are now 250 in Britain. These cater to a particular company, a particular profession or a wider business field. It is hoped that networking for women will undermine the 'old boy network' and break the barrier in business beyond which women rarely progress, the so-called 'glass ceiling.'

To school, as and when it suits
Article Abstract:
Flexible schooling allows children to be educated partly at home and partly at school. Dr Roland Meighan, author of the book 'Flexi-schooling,' believes that the present rigid and overloaded system is constraining pupils, and that part-time flexible schooling could be a solution. There have been successful experiments at schools in Oxfordshire and Derbyshire but many parents revert to home schooling because they feel they have not been treated as equal partners.

Suits you, sir!
Article Abstract:
Men who are shorter than average can find it very hard to buy a suit which fits properly. In some cases, they are obliged to have a suit tailor-made, but this can be very expensive. It is advisable to stick to light colours, as these give the impression of height, and to choose a single-breasted jacket. The most suitable trousers are those which are flat-fronted with a slightly tapered leg. It may be possible to find a suit which fits in a second-hand shop.
