'Mum's white, but she helps me fight racism.'
Article Abstract:
Racist abuse became a problem after Mollie Mahamdallie, who is white, gave birth to a black daughter in St Helen's, England, and there was little support from the police. The Anti-Nazi League provided more help in making inquiries and giving warnings. The family moved to London, England, where mixed-race families are more common and so are seen as normal. This improved the daughter's confidence, and she was able to enjoy her childhood. Racism still exists in London, and the daughter has encountered it at her school.
