Mutiny on the lottery's bounty
Article Abstract:
There is a growing belief among ordinary Britons that they should be allowed to have a say in which charities receive funding from the National Lottery. Indeed, even the National Lottery Charities Board is now acknowledging that it has undertaken little consultation as it has reached its decisions. However, this body points out that everyone has very individual views about which charities should receive funding, and this makes it very hard to obtain and act upon the views of very large numbers of people.
