New ways to do your bidding
Article Abstract:
Online auctions have already become extremely popular in the US, and total sales could reach more than $2 billion by the end of the 1990s. Some online auctioneers sell new, discounted or overstocked items and operate as brokers for a retailer. Others sell used items and antiques for individuals. US market leaders for new goods include First Auction and PC Mall, while market leaders for used goods are Auction Universe and eBay. Users roam an average of 23 minutes on each site per day, compared with an average of only five minutes at traditional retail sites.
