The apple-pie suburb simply awash with guns

Article Abstract:

The gun attack on students at Columbine High School in Littleton, a wealthy suburb of Denver, CO, has greatly shocked local people. The community had appeared to be a quiet, cohesive one with no serious problems with drugs or gang violence. In fact, a community of this kind provides the perfect environment for disturbed teenagers to act out their fantasies without attracting too much attention. Previous attacks on schools have also taken place in wealthy, middle-class communities.

Police 'knew boy killers made bombs.'

Article Abstract:

It is becoming clear that parents of students at Columbine High School in Littleton, Denver, CO, made a number of complaints to police about the activities of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, who were responsible for attacking the school with guns and pipe bombs. Jefferson County police have denied receiving any warnings. Present and past students at the school have indicated that all members of the Trenchcoat Mafia, to which Harris and Klebold belonged, knew how to make pipe bombs.
