Office landlords ride high on rising rental values

Article Abstract:

The commercial property market seems to have become very strong in certain parts of London, England. There is now a growing shortage of grade A office accommodation, and this is creating problems for tenants and occupiers looking to buy. There is also strong demand for retail accommodation, and this is pushing up rents. Institutional investors and property companies are increasing their commitment to commercial property as indications grow that this sector will outpace equities in 1998.

Safe as houses - if you've a good builder

Article Abstract:

It is worth taking time to find a trustworthy and reliable builder. The best way to do this is generally through personal recommendation, although the best builders will often be too busy to take on new clients. It is vital to check a builder's references, and quotes should be obtained from several different builders. An honest builder will not ask for payment in advance, and will be happy to be paid when the work is completed to the client's satisfaction.
