On the road to Damascus

Article Abstract:

Syria is not a mainstream tourist destination, but could appeal to those seeking culture and a hot climate. Most visitors to Syria begin with the cities of Damascus and Aleppo, but it is worth taking the time to discover other places in Syria. These could include the old town of Tartous, which is based around a Templar citadel. This town is only 15 km from Krak des Chevaliers, a magnificent medieval castle.

Why a crusade will lead to a jihad

Article Abstract:

It is important to be cautious about using the word 'crusade' in reference to possible US military action against those believed to be responsible for the attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. In many countries, a crusade is an extremely controversial concept, and presenting military action as a crusade could prove inflammatory.
