Britain defeated again in battle to end beef ban

Article Abstract:

The European Union's standing veterinary committee has postponed a decision on whether to life the ban on beef products such as tallow and gelatine from the UK. European Union member states have also called on the UK to give more assurances that steps are being taken to eliminate contaminated beef. The UK must now put forward formal proposals for the selective slaughter of cattle if the ban on beef products is to be modified.
