Catch 1999: 'If you bomb, Milosevic is stronger; if you stop, he will have won.'
Article Abstract:
Nato should abandon its bombing of Yugoslavia, according to Radomir Diklic, head of the country's Beta news agency. He believes that continued bombing will have a negative impact on democracy in Yugoslavia. He regards a democratic Serbia as vital to peace in the Balkans, and does not feel that democracy can be established if the bombing continues. He believes that Nato bombing has benefited Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic, as it has made ordinary people very willing to defend their country.

An ordinary home and an awful killing
Article Abstract:
Serb militiamen are reported to have shot dead 32 ethnic Albanian men in the village of Cysk, Kosovo, Yugoslavia. They separated the men from the women and children, and stole their valuables. They then shot them and incinerated the bodies. The villagers later discovered the cremated remains of these men, and placed the ashes in a 20ft-long mass grave in the centre of the village. The bodies of two of the men were found unburnt, and have been buried separately.
