Primakov fails to end the bombing
Article Abstract:
Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic has made a commitment to Russian Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov that he will withdraw some troops from Kosovo, Yugoslavia, and permit ethnic Albanians who are Yugoslav citizens to return to the province as long as Nato air attacks cease. Primakov has also indicated that Nato would have to stop supporting the Kosovo Liberation Army. It is most unlikely that Nato will agree to these conditions, as Kosovo Liberation Army representatives signed the autonomy agreement in Paris, France, and few ethnic Albanians in Kosovo hold Yugoslav passports.

'It all went very well,' said the general. 'Another effective day.'
Article Abstract:
Nato has been seeking to influence media coverage of its actions in Kosovo, Yugoslavia, in order to convey a positive impression. Most recently, it has sought to play down reports of ethnic Albanians being killed in a Nato bomb attack on the village of Korisa, Kosovo. It has denied that it has any direct contact with the Kosovo Liberation Army, but this is not the case. It has also concealed the truth in stating that the use of depleted uranium munitions will not cause any damage.
