Article Abstract:
It is not necessary for software to be written for education in order to be effective in education, according to Liz King, general manager of Microsoft's education customer unit. She believes that teachers will choose Microsoft products because they are the best, not because Microsoft has a very strong market position. Microsoft is launching a series of initiatives for education in the UK, including a network of IT training centres for teachers. Article Abstract:
It is important to add life to the World Wide Web, according to software publisher Macromedia CEO Rob Burgess. He believes that the company still has considerable progress to make in its Internet-related work.
