Stop the ghost of Old Labour from clambering out of its tomb
Article Abstract:
Certain members of the UK Labour party seem to assume that the natural state of the party is to be torn apart by factionalism. They appear determined to make the Labour party unpopular again, and fail to realize that the government of Prime Minister Tony Blair has made permanent changes to the UK. It was able to do so because it enjoys the support of most ordinary Britons, rather than just long-standing Labour supporters. It is vital that the government does not cling to too many Old Labour principles and that Labour traditionalists are not allowed to become dominant again.

Will swagger and testosterone spin Labour out of control?
Article Abstract:
Political lobbyists in the UK have become extremely influential. This is causing particular problems for the UK Labour party, which is in now in danger of being destroyed by lobbyists who compulsively flaunt their own power. There are already indications that Prime Minister Tony Blair's efforts to move away from the small details of party politics and to focus on wider issues are being hampered by the work of lobbyists. Furthermore, the government is beginning to come across to ordinary people as arrogant.
