Students in no-go north of Watford

Article Abstract:

There has been a decline in applications to universities in the north of England as potential students in the south-east, who account for the largest proportion of university applicants, focus their applications on universities close to home. This seems to be the result of the introduction of the 1,000 pounds sterling tuition fee and the phasing out of grants. Northern universities are concerned about this trend, as they do not wish to recruit students only from within their region. Some are looking to marketing to boost their image.

Your global calling card

Article Abstract:

Those who are planning to study for a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) should consider doing so abroad, especially if they hope to work in Europe. Studying for an MBA abroad gives the opportunity to learn another language and to gain an insight into other cultures, thus boosting your attractiveness to potential employers. It is also possible to take an MBA in a country other than the UK but to do so in English. This is particularly the case in the Netherlands.
