The Internet is set to become the most powerful weapon of political warfare

Article Abstract:

The Internet is not yet a tool of mass communication for politicians. However, the use of the Internet for campaigning is set to have a permanent impact on politics. The Internet is already being used to present political messages, and campaign managers are also beginning to use it to create and inform a network of activists and a source of credit card donations. There is also considerable potential for the Internet to assist local personalities who are not aligned with a mainstream political party.

Your ancestors - via the Internet

Article Abstract:

There are now many genealogical sites on the Web, and these can be very valuable to people interested in researching their family history. UK and Ireland Genealogical Information Service, a voluntary, non-commercial service, focuses on primary historical information such as military records. Other sites that act as a good starting point include Geneanet, which offers a searcheable database for the UK. It is also worth looking at sites by individual researchers.
