The Third Way is a scam, utterly without substance

Article Abstract:

UK Prime Minister Tony Blair's Third Way has no substance whatsoever. It is based on very few principles, and seeks to embrace community without also embracing equality. It presents a vision of a stakeholder economy, but does not make a commitment to the wealth redistribution required to produce such an economy. It also presents a vision of an inclusive society without setting down the employment rights required to protect workers. It is now time to address the real agenda which lies beyond the Third Way.

Blair mounts defence over crony claims

Article Abstract:

UK Prime Minister Tony Blair has admitted that great care must be taken about any links between political lobbying firms and special advisers and members of the government. He has now issued instructions for the rules on this issue to be revised. Blair has been accused by Conservative party leader William Hague of allowing a close circle of associates to develop around him. In response, Blair has strongly denied newspaper allegations about the dealings of ministers and officials with lobbyists.
