How to buy a Damien Hirst for 120 pounds sterling
Article Abstract:
There has been a significant revival in interest in multiples, the objects made in limited and limitless editions by well-known artists, in the 1990s. The Arts Council is currently showing its large collection of multiples, and Sarah Staten has launched her own touring Supastore Boutique. The renewed interest in multiples has led to a rise in prices. Artists making multiples available include Siobhan Hapaska, Jane Simpson, Martin Creed and Tracey Emin.

It's a load of old rubbish
Article Abstract:
Many people spent their leisure time building works of art from household materials in the days before television. Until recently, such People's Art has only attracted US collectors, but it is now becoming more popular in the UK. Old examples are being purchased from junk shops, and young artists can command large sums for pieces made from materials such as drink cans, sweet wrappers and newspapers.
